The Seventh Law of Learning
The seventh law of learning deals with the fact that learning happens through progressive growth and adaptation. For the most part, learning does not happen within leaps and bounds. Indeed, there is an important caution that needs to be emphasized here. The most debilitating belief a learner can hold onto is the false expectations that learning and studying happen in the blink of eye, with tons of enjoyment and with very little effort at all.
In general, learning and studying require adequate amounts of time, consistency and honest effort.
Granted, there are some individuals that may grasp concepts or develop skills faster than others; but these individuals are still limited by their rates of growth, intentions, consistency of study, values, expectations and willpower.
Regardless of starting ability, the key observation to make here is that all individuals are still part of evolution. Hence, all individuals have the innate ability to deliberately improve in any area of value, within their range of development. And, with practice, time and consistency, all individuals will improve upon their range of development, to a certain extent.
The crucial realization to accept here is that comparisons with others are not a valid practice to pursue. Instead, each learner must only measure their progress with their past accomplishments, efforts and setbacks.
With all that said, here is the seventh law of learning.
The Seventh Law of Learning:
Learning is the result of individual growth and adaptation, which means that learning results will vary from person to person.
