Introduction

Before discussing the learning process, I must be clear about three important concepts within the art of studying and learning. In particular, I am referring to responsibilities, goals and success. These three concepts are the dynamic machinery that any person interested in studying and learning must operate. And the processes involved with these fundamental moving parts must be adequately understood.

Specifically, this chapter addresses five dynamic parts needed for learning and studying. First, what is responsibility? Second, what are the five responsibilities of purpose from evolution? Third, what is a goal? Fourth, how are goals created? Fifth, what is success?

The First Dynamic Part Needed for Learning and Studying:

What is responsibility?

To begin, I assert that every person has a general purpose within evolution. And this general purpose in life is linked with the definition of responsibility. Hence, when a person claims to be a responsible individual, this claim must fit within a long term positive evolutionary framework. Otherwise, being responsible in life will be a contradictory, mystifying and useless idea. In other words, I claim that any responsibility is intimately connected with positive evolution.

At present, it is best to approach the definition of responsibility from the perspective of free-will. Since every person has free-will; then the choice of good actions, or of evil actions, will always be present in a person’s life. As such, the best that can be approximated, currently, is that being responsible must fulfill some set of positive evolutionary criteria, within reality.

Therefore, being responsible must be focused on: creating life; nurturing life; protecting life; developing motivation; pursuing knowledge; developing creativity; balancing motivation and fun; choosing the development of good in the universe; and above all, to develop one’s strength in honesty towards truth in reality.

With all that said, here is an approximate definition of responsibility:

Responsibility is the skill of using free-will to accept and to produce the required interactions with reality, which are in accordance with positive development in evolution, toward a free-will chosen goal.

Notice, one general purpose or meaning of life is to be responsible in life. And an important observation to make here is that pleasure and happiness are not strict requirements in order to be responsible in life.

At this point, here is my approximate solution to the first dynamic part needed for studying and learning.

1. What is responsibility?

Responsibility is the skill of using free-will to accept and to produce the required interactions with reality, which are in accordance with positive development in evolution, toward a free-will chosen goal.
