The Fourth Question from the Boogeyman in the Universe:
What is an approximate answer to the hard problem of consciousness?
The main error with this problem is in assuming that consciousness comes after evolution, which is not the case. Another critical assumption is in assuming that a person’s subjective experiences and thoughts are 100% separated from any other person’s subjective experiences and thoughts. Clearly, this is also not true, one needs only see the model for reality and evolution provided in chapter three, within this book.
These are very subtle assumptions, but they make all the difference in how one approaches the “hard” problem of consciousness.
For instance, this is the hard problem of consciousness with the false assumptions:
How and why do physical brain processes give rise to subjective, first-person experiences?
Contrast this question but with the assumption that consciousness comes first before evolution, as has been reasoned in this manuscript. This implies that the brain is an emergent property or structure established by consciousness.
How and why does consciousness use first person experiences (emotions and senses) to give rise to physical brain processes that communicate subjective experiences in an interconnected manner?
Recall, consciousness exists as three main orders or types: e-consciousness; ava-consciousness; and i-consciousness. And remember that, the universe and reality must safeguard against systems in the universe that can develop into infinitely concentrated points of consciousness, life, imagination, motivation and energy. The reason being is that these reality terms (in particular consciousness) eliminate reality and the universe if allowed to concentrate into highly infinite points.
An immediate consequence is that consciousness must never communicate in any direct manner. Hence, when higher concentrations of consciousness are established, as in with human life, indirect methods are needed for communication. Once such method of communication is emotions. Another five more methods of communication are the five senses. In other words, emotions and the five senses form a language that is used by e-consciousness, ava-consciousness and i-consciousness to communicate in an indirect manner with themselves. And, by extension of i-consciousness, this means that all feelings, memories, experiences, thoughts, sensations are all interconnected at some nonzero level, within the matrix of evolution.
The key aspect here is language. This means that across all human consciousnesses (maybe even across certain higher concentrations of consciousness found in other forms of life) there must be an agreement of chemical words and states that represent certain ideas and meanings across consciousnesses through evolution.
Basically, when a human being experiences emotions or any of the five senses, they are receiving or giving communication from their e-consciousness, ava-consciousness or i-consciousness.
4. What is an approximate answer to the hard problem of consciousness?
As a safeguard against establishing infinitely high concentrations of consciousness in the universe, direct communication between consciousnesses is prohibited. Instead, e-consciousness, ava-consciousness and i-consciousness use emotions and the five senses as a form of language for communication. Hence, total consciousness uses the brain and the body to release and to receive specific chemicals, in order to produce the necessary neural structures and experiences to communicate.
