Chapter-16: State of In Between
El-Gar stepped closer and sat down in front of Diego. He placed his forelegs on Diego’s sides and leaned in, resting his massive head a lick away from Diego. He stared into the little cub and breathed out a thick fog of energy. Heat and turquoise electricity swirled around them. Magnetic sparks and a loud humming sound filled the space between them. Flashes of light arched around man and beast, in triple möbius shapes. Space bubbled and warped around them, distorting everything in and out of focus. A bright piercing flash and they were gone.
Melded together, man and ancient being became one. All that remained existed in awareness and connectedness. Faster, and faster, they traveled within a blinding light, until they stopped above the earth and witnessed.
“Here,” said El-Gar, “this is your world in one hundred years, 1961. But you can only see a perspective from your life branch. From your true needs and values, this is the point from which we shall see sixty years moving forward, towards 2021. Tell me what your honesty allows you to witness in this interval of echoes.”
Diego saw a flickering light. Reality echoed forward and back, back and forward; and, one by one, moving pictures emerged.
“It is a span of fluctuating time,” said Diego, “between 1961 and 2021. I see Mexico, the west coast and now North America. Mechanical horseless carts are all over the land. Large buildings of glass and steel and stone reach high into the sky. And there, I see killing and murder: hundreds of millions of deaths.”
El-Gar yawned and asked: “What killing and murder do you see, little cub?”
“Death of the innocent, I see the murder of babies. I see mangled, mutilated and obliterated bodies of babies.”
“This is almost true,” said El-Gar. “But a correction is needed. No human being is ever born innocent. Truth be known, at the instantaneous moment of conception, all human life carries the unique perspective of warriors in consciousness. From conception, all humans carry knowledge and spark of creation from The Eternal Ancient. This is a tremendous weapon that may help in the war for expansion of the universe or against it. Continue searching, little cub, what else is there? Speak of your sight.”
Diego looked and searched once more. At length, he came upon the reason, the combined cause of male and of female neglect.
“Men and Women,” said Diego, “have severed their cause and their purpose. They have abandoned their responsibility of life. The protection of family is being lost, drowned away in the cries of pleasure, lust and perverted logic and envious greed.”
“Oh, you speak of truth,” said El-Gar. “Do you wish to see more? Search closer at the machinations of all human kindness.”
“In blind reasoning,” said Diego, “the lies of pleasure, pride and contempt grow within humanity. I see a pill, a thin elastic barrier, and an operation of death, of evil. Wait, there, I see the exposure of choices frozen beyond the shielding protection of either parent. Most troubling of all, I see a shunning of distinct responsibilities, of male and of female.”
